How it all started

Most activewear today is plastic. Literally plastic.

The same petroleum that goes in your car, spun into fibers and stitched into t-shirts and shorts.

Polyester. Nylon. Spandex. All petroleum-derived. Usually coated in PFAS (forever chemicals) and dyed with chemicals that were never meant for skin contact.

Antoine designing VELM

We built VELM to give people who train hard a real alternative.

We launched in early 2025 with 100% organic cotton t-shirts and tanks, and quickly realized cotton alone isn't the answer for high-intensity sports.

So we rebuilt everything from scratch.

We spent months developing plastic-free performance fabrics. Countless textile fairs. Failed samples. Factory visits.

Until we created natural fabrics that perform just as well as synthetics.

What you see in our range today is the result of full time research and work over the past year.

Made right, or not at all

We believe a product that isn't perfect creates waste. Of natural resources. Of the time of the people making it. And of the customer's experience. We would rather have higher prices with quality that follows than cut corners like fast fashion.

Designed in Switzerland

Every garment is designed in Geneva. VELM is based in Switzerland, and we aim to honor the reputation our country is known for: quality and precision.

Independently run

We are a self-funded small business. No exit plan. No investors pushing us to take shortcuts to optimize margins. We aim to grow VELM at a healthy pace to maintain the best possible experience for our customers.

VELM is a small brand. We're a small team that just went all in on our first collection, so your support means a lot.
